RYDALMERE EAST PUBLIC SCHOOL UPGRADE
We are building better schools and Rydalmere East Public School is one of eight public schools in the Parramatta Electorate receiving an upgrade.
Project overview
In July 2026 a site assessment was completed with Aboriginal stakeholders as part of the Connecting with Country consultation process to identify cultural values and inform the project design.
The Minns Labor Government is planning an upgrade to renew the existing school facilities at Rydalmere East Public School. This will also provide for state-of-the-art learning support and more enrolment spots at the public preschool for local children.
The upgrade will include:
- a new 40-place preschool
- 3 new support learning classrooms
- new administration facilities
- refurbished classrooms
- a library
- a new covered outdoor learning area (COLA)
- landscaping around the new buildings
Next steps
Planning for the Rydalmere East Public School upgrade is continuing, with planning approval expected in early 2027. The tender process to appoint a construction contractor is expected to commence later in 2027. Following detailed planning, the updated project completion is by 2029.
